Yat Sing & Yee Sing Pau Choy — Cannon Fist

One Star and Two Star Cannon Fist — explosive short-range punches rooted in Fa Ging and whole-body unity.

Overview

Yat Sing and Yee Sing Pau Choy are Cannon Fist expressions rooted in Fa Ging (explosive energy), rooted stance, and waist-driven force.

(1) Yat Sing Pau Choy — One Star Cannon Fist

Translation

"First Star Cannon Punch"

Meaning

A single, powerful, decisive explosive punch.

Execution: Full body unity — rooted legs, coiled waist, focused release through the fist. From sei ping ma (horse stance) or transitioning to gung bow ma.

Purpose: Maximum force in a single decisive blow. The Hung Gar ideal of "one punch, one kill."

(2) Yee Sing Pau Choy — Two Star Cannon Fist

Translation

"Second Star Cannon Punch"

Meaning

Two explosive strikes in immediate succession.

Execution: Two Pau Choy punches with continuous Fa Ging — shifting weight and turning the waist between strikes.

Purpose: Build momentum from the first strike. Teaches linking power between strikes without loss of intensity.
